A story:
Time travels fast. First you wake up with the rising sun.
You take the last look at the city around you, noticing the small details.
But then you walk away, leaving this place behind you. Many may think you've gone mad, but deep inside you know - it's time to go.
Your journey is long, it has different turns, taking you further and further ahead.
Some times you even fall asleep, missing the view outside.
But in the end it's all worth it. For you have three loves in your life - cities, travels and snow.
The idea for this video was to capture the motion, the movement through location, seeing that the transition is a space within boundaries, between one place and the other.
My previous concept of using three points for shooting found its realisation in the song.
Everything is in motion:
seasons change, winter supplant the fall;
life comes to an end as well, we see dead leaves falling down from the trees;
different cities in different countries, left-hand traffic and right-hand;
passing light, day turns into night;
people walk their own paths, not noticing if they have companions;
as we gaze outside the window of a train, we see a different scenarios just outside the glass - so close yet still out of our reach;
in our minds, flickering lights become the snow.
(i will work further on this video - think about adding text and telling its story - with typed words or a voice over.)
Bite chunks out of me
You're a shark and I'm swimming
My heart still thumps as I bleed
And all your friends come sniffing
Triangles are my favourite shape
Three points where two lines meet
Toe to toe back to back let's go
My love it's very late till morning comes
Let's tessellate
Three guns one goes off - one's empty - one's not quick enough
One burn - one red - one grin
Search the graves while the camera spins.
Chunks of you will sink down to seals
Blubber rich in mourning
They'll nosh you up yes they'll nosh the love away but it's fair to say
You will still haunt me
Triangles are my favourite shape
Three points where two lines meet
Toe to toe back to back lets go
My love it's very late till morning comes
Let's tessellate
